Nurses dedicated to building on the incredible talent of Canadian Registered Nurses who are self employed.

This “new” national association connects Registered Nurses who are self employed, or operating their own business or provide nursing services outside the public health care system.

Definition of an Independent Practice Nurse

An independent practice nurse is defined as, “A registered nurse who provides professional nursing services, as a proprietor of a business, through direct patient care, education, research, administration or consultation.” Nurse Entrepreneurship publication - "Seizing the Challenge" by Carol L. Our mission is to support our members through networking, providing opportunities to learn, grow and prosper in your chosen health care business.

At the same time, we’re educating the public and policy makers on the ever-expanding scope of nursing practice, and how that’s benefiting health care consumers.

Members continuously lead positive change in health care delivery, built on our pledge to offer service that is Competent, Credible, Consistent and Continuous.
